really enjoyed staying in the hotel however for the room size and the facilities it is definately over priced. The spa is fantastic and the staff very plesant. Paying over £200 for the night I was disappointed that breakfast wasn't included. The location is perfect for a night out in cardiff bay and the rooms very modern and clean. I... more

easily the worst hotel ever its a complete disgrace that this hotel recieved a 5* rating but it is so much worse it has retained it, it should b stripped of it immediatly and made a 3*. it may have modern minamilist decor and an excuse for a spa but really and truely the hotel is a joke. basic service... more

Last stayed at the St Davids about 2 or 3 years ago. Since then it's got a bit tired and the rooms no longer have the wow factor they used to have. As others have said a little CRT TV is not what you'd expect (I would expect 40" Plasma) for a 5*. Spa looking a little grubby in places... more

This hotel was excellent when it first opened but is now definitely past its best and has deteriorated further since its transfer from Rocco Forte to Principal Hotels. The rooms are quite pleasant but showing signs of wear. TVs are very basic and there is no CD player. The biggest dissappointment was the state of the changing room and Spa:... more

We stay at St David's at least once a year and have always been happy with the service received. This time was no different, we arrived early on Saturday morning, we had booked 3 rooms and didn't expect them to be available (we planned to go shopping) however they were so we were able to get settled in straight away.... more

My husband and I recently stayed for a night in st.davids. We were upgraded to the master suite on the 7th floor which was huge! The view from nearly everywhere in this hotel are great but the floor to ceiling windows all the way round the suite made it a fabulous view. I agree with some comments that there is... more

I recently stayed overnight at the St Davids and had great first impressions with the bold, imposing exterior and a fine location on the bay. I did find the interior of the reception area (athougth impressively towering and obviously minimal in design) a bit bleak and sterile with just a couple of sofas and a hideous random pot. It reminded... more

On check in we were allocated a room that was for clients with special needs but were not told this. Only found out when we entered our room and saw there was no bath and handrails all around the room .The shower was desidend so as a wheel chair could be manouvered into it. Fine for people with disabilities We... more

Once in a while we leave the kids with grandparents and choose a 5 star hotel to spend the weekend in. We book the more expensive rooms in St. Davids so I am not sure what the cheaper rooms are like - but we keep coming back for several reasons. First - the Spa is wonderful - usually quiet and... more

This hotel advertises itself as a 5 star hotel, but it is definitely not! We like older hotels which have a bit of charm, but through recommendations we thought we would give it a go. The hotel has no soul it is lifeless. Our room was ok, but little things like a portable TV which did not work properly lets... more
