We were going to see the Noise + Confusion convert at the Cardiff Stadium, with Oasis + Foofighters headlining and wanted to treat ourselves to a nice hotel in the area to use as our base. Upon arrival, it became apparent that this was the same hotel that the Gallagher brothers, Grohl and his friends were staying at too.. (we... more

Very relaxing stay, nice, quiet room with a good view over Cardiff Bay. Restaurant a bit too expensive £4.50 for a bottle of still water. Enjoyed using the spa facilities. Cardiff Bay a great place to stay, happened to be there when they were filming Torchwood with John Barrowman. more

We've just had a wonderful weekend at the spa - the entire weekend relaxing in the fluffy white dressing gowns. There's a lift direct from the rooms to the spa bypassing reception The staff were wonderfully friendly, and nothing was too much trouble. The buffet continental breakfasts were great - everything made fresh on the premises, including the best pain... more

The contact was via the website. One should have realised with such a dated format to the site I could expect little more from the hotel. To be fair the staff are delightful & only to willing to help. But paying 5* prices I expect nothing less than perfection. The room had a stunning view & balcony but this went... more

Fun architecture, large room with tasteful modern furnishings, competent and friendly staff, great location, marvellous view. Also found it not expensive at all (but that was possibly due to a corporate rate for my Cardiff clients). more

I have stayed here twice in April and May 2007. Each for one night. Here are the good things: 1. Very very friendly staff 2. Good location in the Cardiff Bay area 3. Right side of town to get to the airport 4. Restaraunt food good, not fantastic and wine list good. Bad things 1. Both times the air con... more

We stayed here for 2 nights in Feb. It's a nice looking modern hotel from the outside and the entrance continues in that theme. We stayed in a junior suite and to be honest it's nothing impressive. The furnishings are modern but look cheap and the bathroom was dated and the fittings and finish was totally in contrast to the... more

Really not a five star hotel. The Pool area is very nice. The rooms are no better than a three star hotel and the view is OK over some marshland area. The attitude of the young male receptionist leaves little to be desired. Even when we arrived after the check in time we were told he couldn't tell us when... more

My wife and I stayed one night in May attratced by the 5* and spa element. The service was attentive, friendly and relaxed and not the slightest bit snobby as some 5* hotels can be. However, the room didn't really feel like a 5* room, I have stayed in 3*s which have felt the same, but it was very clean... more
