I stayed at this hotel for one night whilst on business in the area. Overall I was impressed and satisfied with this hotel. The staff were very friendly & helpful. The room I was allocated was very spacious, with large bed and sseparate lounge area. The standard of decor was very good and the room was very clean. My only... more

Stayed at this hotel for 2 nights. On entry to room 2 large cobwebs. (Informed reception- Never got cleaned) Room very cold on arrival. Closed the bar at 11pm on Friday night- You can order drinks but pay 50p extra per drink to deliver to room. On a friday night the restaurant had ourselves and 2 business men in. This... more

We ended up here as it was the only hotel in a 30 mile radius of Cardiff with a free room for the night The Police played at the Millennium Stadium. I have to say that we were not disappointed with our room. We paid £75 and had a large double with a four poster bed and a separate sitting... more

My wife and I stayed here for 1 night. I expected travel lodge standard accomadation. Basic but clean and modern. Room rate is £110 - we booked a weekday discounted rate for a superior room at £75 This hotel is 1970's decor but is also shabby and dirty. The reception area looks ok but the deeper you venture into the... more

I agree with all the other reviewers who have given this hotel a rating of 'Terrible'. The hotel has certainly seen better days - or possibly not! All of the rooms are shabby, both the private and public, as are the corridors and even the outside of the hotel. The lighting in the guestroom consisted of a strip light above... more

We decided to stay at this hotel because It was close to some great beaches. however, I thought of the hotel as way under my expectations and had some real problems. The first was the smell. It was very damp and musty and smelled horrible throughout the building. My other is how it was under vamped. The light on the celing... more

It was dark when I arrived, and the hotel had been taken over by a noisy wedding party. The whole building heaved with the noise of the disco. Of course, such bookings are profitable to the hotel, but doesn't management ever think about other guests on such occasions? My heart began to sink as I walked the seemingly endless corridors,... more

Booked this hotel via a Corporate booking system for a business trip. Although the hotel was being refurbished at the time, this did not excuse the cheesy and grubby room, cheap furnishings, poor food and dirty dining room; the latter had food stains up the wall next to our breakfast table. The previous night (a Sunday), my colleague sent her... more

This is a nice, clean hotel with friendly service. The decor and furnishing is a tad dated, and the breakfast is ok, but at the rate paid, it is very good value indeed, and the service is very professional and courteous. I'd recommend this hotel. more

Spent two weeks here while having some building work done at home. On the whole a nice, comfortable place to stay. In a good, central location for days out and places of interest. The hotel rooms are large, comfortable and clean with pretty much all the amenities you could need. The leisure area with pool is a real bonus and... more
