This ernstwhile Novotel (see the towels at the pool), has seen better times. Stay away from the buffet, unless you are early; the price is ridiculous. Remember all of Myanmar is CASH ONLY including hotels!!! For a huge hotel like Mandalay Hills, their prices, what they call "plus plus" added taxes and fees, an average meal is about $30.00 for bread and water, don't go for the buffet $150.00 set back and it is really fly infested in the morning and totally we got Montezuma's revenge... more

An excellent choice for Mandalay. The location is directly at the foot of Mandalay Hill. That means in just minutes you can be at the stairway that leads to the top of the hill.
