Well, it started off a little less than good. I had contacted the Gen. Mgr.twice before I booked for a specific type of room ( 2 walls of windows mtn. and city view) I found his answers vague. I was highly interested in this Hotel because of it's proximity to an art and dining area. I rolled the dice. I... more

I thought the Hotel was just OK, but after a night of people having a party in the adjacent room 10/18/08, my patience quickly diminished. Especially after security had come up to quiet them down twice. I banged on the wall, but they seemed to get louder. So that night I didn't rest very well. The next night 10/19/08 there... more

I stayed for 5 days for a reunion. I checked in on a Tues. Aft. on Wed. morning I let the front desk know our shower didn't work. I went back later that day to find my carry on luggage was stolen. Passport, travel papers, cash, personal items, GPS ect. Value of $1500.00. The Hotel would not send security nor... more

Interesting enough, what this guest failed to report is that we DID call the police and report the missing items and we DID complete a very thorough investigation on this incident. The guest also failed to mention he had a roommate with access to his belongings. Our hotel has it plainly displayed in 3 separate area's inside our guest rooms...

My employer booked me into the Hotel Arizona on business. After reading the reviews here, I was really dreading it. It sounded like a major dive. It turned out to be fine, all things considered, especially in view of the price of $67 for a king-sized bed. Of course, I was in the Del Mar Marriott the week before in... more

I saw the bad reviews but frankly, the price was better than most hotels in this price range so I took a chance. I was very pleasantly surprised! The hotel is definitely a little dated. It looks like it was a terrific hotel at one point, but the carpets and furnishings are getting a little old. The air conditioner in... more

I am the guy who wrote a review of the Embassy Suites in San Antonio. I stayed at the Hotel Arizona on my way back home to Phoenix from that trip (Fourth of July visit to my son in Austin). I am a University of Arizona graduate so I was already familiar with the property, having eaten in their restaurant... more

After 3 trips to the front desk, I finally got a room that was "clean." Basically this meant the dirty towels had been picked up, and the beds were made. There was still trash in the trash can, but I was tired of the attitude at the front desk that I was inconveniencing them at 4 in the afternoon trying... more
