A well situated hotel for Cardiff Bay but an unpleasant walk across car parks to get there.The hotel had the ambience ,however of a Travel Lodge but the food in the restaurant was very pleasant. I asked for a room near the lift but it was that far along the corridor it was almost in Newport. but it had a splendid view of the roundabout which in fact wew quite enjoyed-maybe we should get a life .Overall it was good value comfortable accomodation for Cardiff bay with good links to Central Cardiff.

We stayed at this hotel for a one night bed and breakfast stay on a Friday evening.
Location. Yes it is out of the way but your sat nav should get you there with the postcode. The Future Inns sign is prominent on the building as you approach and there is a sign on the road to direct you pass the Pizza Hut and Monkey (sorry cannot remember the full name but we did have lunch there which was good value). Parking is plentiful around the building.

Reception. So many people on reception meant we were looked after straight away. Room was ready as well and details of our stay confirmed. Room as on fifth floor and lift was large and available.

Room: Limited internet is available, basically the major search engines and associated email facilities. Room was large with enough space for clothes, good television and bathroom where water was totally temperature controlled to your needs. My wife who is Canadian immediately picked up on it being owned by a Canadian business and this was confirmed later. She was very happy with the experience. There was also a botlle of mineral water as well as full tea and coffee making facilities. Noise was not too much of a problem although you can hear people outside the room in the corridor. Bed was extremely comfortable.

Getting around. Yes you are a little away from things here but Mermaid Quay is only a ten minute walk away. To get there you by walking you go across the car parks and into the Dragon Centre to go out the exit at the other end on the left hand side. Just cross at the lights to pass the impressive Millennium Centre and Mermaid Quay with its restaurants is on the right hand side. We went into Cardiff centre on the Saturday. The hotel said no problem to leaving our car in the carpark but we again walked out across the car parks and across Hemingway Road to catch the Park and Ride Bus. You do not have to park at the park and ride but the cost of the return bus is £3 per car. Buses run up to 6pm.

Breakfast. The restaurant has lots of tables and they check off that you have booked in for breakfast as you arrive. Good selection of cereals, hot and cold meals and all the usual beverages. There is also a complimentary newspaper at reception, Independent and Western Mail were available as they are not delivered to the room.

Overall. If you are bringing a vehicle with you but still want to see the sights and best on the weekend with the park and ride only operating on Saturday and Sunday, then there is nothing wrong with this hotel. It is relatively easy to get to whether you come from the east or the west and wil hopefully get to visit this hotel or one of its sister hotels in the near future as they have a hotel in Plymouth and believe they are looking to open one in Bristol shortly.

A very new hotel offering real value for money. The facilities were very good. The room was spacious, clean and modern. My only slight issue was that they didn't have a Business Centre so I couldn't access the internet. They did have a Wifi facility but I didn't have a laptop with me so no use. The staff were friendly and I left very satisfied overall.

This is a great, clean, spacious hotel. The restaurant has great food and friendly bar staff. There was free internet (though difficult to use, but still free!) in the room which was an extremely pleasant surprise. Free parking, comfortable room, good location.
