This was my first time staying at the Nobil, really good hotel! The staff were exceptionally friendly and welcoming. The room itself was comfortable although my room was not the biggest of rooms, food was of a very good standard, and the roof top bar was really nice, with nice views of Chisinau. The hotel is centrally located. Would stay here again.

Assets: Nice attitude and helpfulness of the staff, good location, comfortable bed, top cleanliness

Cons: pricey, breakfast not for business people; served a la carte, slowly and not necessarily looking prime quality/freshness (continental plate for which you wait a while), for dinner- too much smoke there, no servettes;
No coffee maker/kettle in the room

Fancy place, probably good for a leisure trip but would not recommend for business travel.

Dear Hubert,

Thank you for taking the time to write a review. We are glad that you have enjoyed our amenities, staff and location.

I would to explain some of the negative aspects that you have mentioned in your review:
1. It is true that we do not provide a coffee maker in the room. We discourage consumption of instant coffee or tablets, as we feel that these products are of lower quality. As a five-star establishment, we believe that our Guests deserve only the best food and beverages. Therefore, we serve exclusively 100% Arabica fresh-ground espresso coffee, available 24 hours via room service and our View Cafe & Restaurant.
2. It is also true that we do not serve a buffet breakfast, only a la carte. Being a small, 35-room boutique hotel, we prefer to offer individual, personalized services for all our Guests, be it breakfast or dinner. We do realize that this type of service takes more time than a buffet, but we do our utmost to make up for it in quality. For business travelers who are in a rush, we offer the possibility of pre-ordering breakfast for any time specified, via the special Breakfast Menu provided in all our rooms.
3. Your feedback regarding smoke in the restaurant has also been duly noted, and I am happy to let you know that we plan to make the restaurant a non-smoking establishment starting January 1st.

Once again, thank you for all your feedback, and I sincerely hope to welcome you again to our hotel in the future!

I have stayed at this hotel in October 2015. This hotel is the dream of those who like their accommodation luxurious, over-doing it a bit with all the triple curtains, bed linings and sink-in armchairs, but given its stated purpose of being the most luxurious place in Chisinau, it does meet the goal. The furniture was custom-made for the hotel, from the wood paneling to the working desks, and it shows.
What I loved about it:
-> they are extremely generous with the toiletries and accessories, with a full complement, ranging from a toothbrush kit to a little cotton bag for your small possessions. In this day when the hotels are skimping on such stuff, finding one which provides everything you need is really welcome;
-> the staff is very agreeable, business-like, polite and helpful. They do not linger around for tips. On the contrary I was amazed to pick up the phone at 6 in the morning and be told exactly when my breakfast will arrive - i.e. the next second, without me asking!
-> the view from the top-floor restaurant takes in the better part of Chisinau;
-> the pillows (and pillow menu) are very, very good (they actually have some custom-made ones, which are ergonomic);
-> the full-service minibar and snacks offered in the room;
-> the high-speed internet (included in the price);
-> the ultra-central location.

Things to take note of:
-> The breakfast is menu-based. There are two options, namely to order in the room or to eat it (7:00-11:00) in the panorama restaurant on the 7th floor. As there is no buffet, one feels a bit restrained in ordering too much. However, the staff is very helpful and inviting and the food is quite good (everything I had, including lunch and dinner, was very well prepared). Expect to spend at least 15 minutes before it is brought to you;
-> The single bed was quite narrow. Still a good sleep quality, but not much rolling about.

They speak very good English, Romanian and Russian. All in all, a positively great experience. One of, if not the best rooms in Chisinau.

Room tip: Try a double room, the single ones have quite narrow beds.

The hotel is more french than Moldavian. It is centrally located. The hotel has a fabulous and very reasonable spa and salon. The service was excellent.

The breakfast could be tweaked. The restaurant surprisingly serves primarily french food. It is a shame that it doesn’t highlight its own country’s fare but the staff said their clientele preferred it…

A lovely place to stay.

Dear Guest,

On behalf of the whole team, I would like to thank you for your kind review. It gladdens us that you have enjoyed the hotel and its amenities, and the service as well. We mainly serve French and Italian cuisine, however we do have a small Moldavian Cuisine Menu, I am sorry that you have missed that and I apologize for the waiter not recommending it. We hope to welcome you again to our hotel in the future!

It may be expensive, but, the hotel is beautiful as are the rooms. They were well equipped. A bottle of wine and bowl of fruit welcomed us, along with a note from management, which was appreciated.
We had dinner in the restaurant, and, the dinner was very good. I would only fault them for not having all the items on their menu. Breakfast offered lots of choices, and, service was great.
The location is perfect in the "downtown" area, which makes it easy to walk to restaurants.
