Our first disappointment was the bed sheet that barely covered the mattress let alone went over the sides and tucked in so that we basically ended up sleeping on the mattress with no cover.

The power was turned off whenever we went out so when we thought we were leaving our battery's to charge whilst we went for dinner, we come back and they are empty. The wifi would also be turned off at random times and at night. And when it was working it wasn't great.

This was also a room in a families house and unlike any other places we stayed you have to walk through the families home to get into the room which we felt was quite awkward as sometimes the family didnt acknowledge us we felt like we were in their personal space.

Good Location in Galle Centre and owned by one of the only people who make their own jewellery, voted best place to buy gems in Galle by Conde Nast Traveller.

You can see a great view of the area & sunset from roof top.

Excellent location. Family home. Entrance through a gems shop. A short walk to the fort walls and ocean.
I stayed in the upper most room, definitely worth asking for. There is only one room at the very top of the building. I can't remember room number now. Had windows and a great view from just outside the room. Room basic, bathroom clean, aircon worked well. I wasn't out late at night so didn't run into any curfew issues as other reviewers have reported. Worth clarifying curfew / access restrictions in advance if you're likely to be out late, and there are some nice places to eat & drink nearby.

Our couple of nights at Millennium rest were very comfortable. We had an internal room, so the window opened up to the void in the staircase of the home, an external window would have been better for fresh air. The room was very clean and the bathroom too. Hot water was good, wifi quite slow, the Ac and fan worked very well, no visible extract in the bathroom, hard to dry out. The family were very friendly, They arranged onward tuk tuk to Mirissa at a good price with a good driver. Great location.
